Temporary Picker/Packer
Job title: Temporary Picker/Packer (until Christmas 2010)
Department: Logistics
Reporting to: Despatch Supervisor
Location: Enesco Limited Head Office, Kingstown, Carlisle
Rate of pay: £5.93 per hour
Positions are available on our day shift (full time 39.5 hours/ part time 27.5 hours).
No formal qualifications are required, as full training will be given.
Main duties
- The accurate picking of product from shelves or boxes using the picking ticket supplied
- The packing of picked items into transit cartons, using packaging and filling materials as supplied, to ensure the integrity and safety of the product during transit
- The accurate confirmation of goods
- The placement of packed transit cartons onto the conveyor or onto pallets as required
- To carry out accurate stock checks as requested from time to time
- To ensure that the warehouse and packing areas are maintained in a tidy condition, so as not to cause a safety risk, and to ensure that colleagues are not indisposed or delayed in their work
Hours of work
Full-time hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 5.00pm
Part Time Hours:
Monday to Friday: 9.15am to 2.45pm
Friday: 11.30am to 5:00pm
