Ohana means family this Mother’s Day and beyond

Here in the UK, Mother’s Day is just around the corner on 11th March, whereas in America, our friends across The Pond celebrate the special occasion later in the year during May. But to us, the date of Mother’s Day is insignificant – mums are amazing and deserve to be celebrated all-year-round.

Mums come in many different shapes and sizes.  They may not be the person who carried you and gave you life, but mother-figures are those special people who carry you in their heart and make your life a much better place.  Whether the person your customers consider to be their mum is their mother, grandma, auntie, sister or a special friend, they are all family and deserve to be celebrated this Mother’s Day.

A special line from one of our very favourite Disney films comes to mind. It’s from the film Lilo and Stitch, where the heroine of the film adopts a mischievous alien posing as a dog, and speaks the immortal words ‘Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind.’

So, whatever your customers’ family looks like, help them to let the mother-figure in their lives know just how special she is to them this Mother’s Day. The Disney Traditions Ohana Means Family figurine captures these sentiments beautifully. It features Lilo and Stitch sharing a warm embrace, created using the artistic techniques and folklore flair artist Jim Shore has become known and loved for.

It really is the perfect present for mum this Mother’s Day and your customers are just going to love it.
