The cat, Tardar Sauce, was born in 2012 and is a mix of a calico domestic short hair and a grey and white of no defined breed. However her extraordinary looks and miniature size point to the feline dwarfism gene and she became famous soon after her photo was posted on Reddit in September that year. Now Grumpy Cat, as she is internationally known, and her exploits are followed by 14 million viewers on YouTube, four million followers on Facebook, one million fans on Twitter and 300,000 on Instagram. She’s even appeared on American TV.
