Border Fine Arts Contemporary Classics
Building on the success since its launch in June 2013, Border Fine Arts is proud to announce the launch of two striking new pieces in its Contemporary Classics collection for January 2015.

‘Our inspiration for this range,’ says Ray Ayres, Master Sculptor, ‘was from the revival of the retro ceramic look of the 1950s and 60s, when instead of full decoration glazes only an underglazed technique is used and we have tried to capture a watercolour effect.’

In the magnificent Spanish Bull (pictured) the ethos of this remarkable collection is really upheld…as the emphasis on movement over realism is captured to stunning effect yet again.

Each study is entirely handmade in the company’s Scottish Studios in Langholm and hand painted by highly skilled artists. Border Fine Arts has been working on an alternative finish too, and the bull will be available in a new Bronzed colourway as well as in a translucent black enamel paint effect, offering more choice for the discerning customer.

Also new for January is an impressive Ram figurine.
